Day 29 of Building Crowdwide — Brand Ambassador, UI Fixes & 80 Posts!🎉
I’ve been building Crowdwide, a social media platform designed with a special algorithm to give new voices and smaller communities a better chance of being discovered.
Today is Day 29 of sharing my journey while building Version 1, and Version 2 is planned for release on 1 November 2026.
The biggest update: I got a brand ambassador!
Finally!! Crowdwide has its first brand ambassador — Divyanshi --> @jdsyogico!🥳
It feels amazing to see more people becoming part of this journey.
Two more bugs found 👀
The official bug buster of Crowdwide, @effessdev, reported two more issues.
1. Logged-in users still saw “Join Crowdwide” and “Sign In”
Even after logging in, users could still see these options on the landing page. The “Open App” option was hidden inside the navbar, which could be confusing.
The fix was simple: logged-in users are now redirected directly to the dashboard.
This also made me realize that some users who thought they had to log in repeatedly might simply not have noticed the “Open App” option.
2. Navbar spacing issue
EffessDev also noticed that the navbar was too close to the edge of the screen.
Honestly, I had been ignoring small UI details because I didn't think anyone would notice them.
Apparently, eagle eyes exist. 😂
The spacing has now been fixed!
Notifications improved
Notifications are now organized into categories:
- Today
- Yesterday
- All
- Unread
Also, using “Mark as Read” no longer reloads the entire page.
