Day 24 of Building Crowdwide — What Do You Do When Your Project Is Finally Done? 🤔
I've spent so much time building Crowdwide V2 that I almost forgot about the other half of building a product: getting people to actually use it. 😭
The features are done. The UI is polished. The backend works. But what's next?
After discussing this with other developers, I realized I need to focus more on distribution, feedback, and understanding my target audience instead of constantly adding new features.
Some advice I received:
- 🚀 Focus on distribution: Building a product is one thing; getting it in front of the right people is another.
- 📈 Learn marketing: YC's Startup School and its YouTube lectures were recommended to help me understand marketing, audience engagement, and finding product-market fit.
- 💬 Listen to users: Feedback and usability matter more than adding features nobody needs.
- 🌍 Explore communities: Sharing Crowdwide in relevant online communities could help me reach people who might actually find it useful.
Crowdwide currently has 14 members, 70 posts, and 4 communities.
My goal is to help smaller communities and new creators get discovered without their visibility depending so heavily on their existing follower counts.
Now, I need to figure out how to get the right people to discover it.
So, here's my question:
If you've launched a product, how did you get your first users? Which marketing strategies or communities actually worked for you?
I'd love to learn from your experience! 🙌
