Day 18 of Building Crowdwide โ WideWave Was Born ๐
I released Crowdwide v1 on Oct 3, 2026. It's a social platform initially built for indie devs and solo startups, but anyone can use it!
Since it was my first version as a solo dev, bugs, debugging, and maintenance have kept me busy. And now we're on Day 18!
Batches and streaks are FINALLY RELEASED!! ๐
But I noticed something: even when users return, they don't always have a reason to post. So I added a daily question!

I also surveyed users, and roughly 70% said they visit less or engage less because the content doesn't interest them.
And I thought...
If there's no content, WHY DON'T THEY POST LOL ๐ญ
I decided to upload some writing myself. But where?
- Feed? My posts might get mixed with irrelevant content.
- Communities? People who haven't joined them might never see the content!
AAAAAAAAAAAA... IDEA BIRTHDAYYYYYY ๐ก
Introducing WideWave ๐
It's a new open space where you don't need to join a community or follow anyone to discover content.
Think art, writing, startup discussions, lifestyle, and more!
The idea is inspired partly by Reddit, and users will be able to create their own spaces using names like `ww/[community_name]`.
Of course, moderation will still be necessary.
I also checked another site to see whether Crowdwide had a chance of becoming a mainstream social platform. The estimates were pretty low, around 2โ4%.
So yeah, let's try. If it works, amazing! If not, at least I'll learn something and build something better next time.
HAPPY DUSSSHERAAA EVERYONEEEEE ๐๐
Got ideas or suggestions? Throw them at me! Good or bad, I wanna hear them.
That's all for Day 18!
